Overview

Our weekly get-togethers are intended to be interactive, with participants presenting their current drafts, sharing concerns or questions, and receiving and providing feedback.

You can also simply join and listen if you prefer. This is where we can all grow and learn together.

Please keep in mind that all sessions will last the allocated time, and the room may be closed earlier if all participants' questions and topics have been addressed. As a result, we recommend that you arrive at the session's start time.

Jacqueline Hiddlestone

Jacqueline takes the approach of learning together where the art of conversation is but one vital learning tool. With online and virtual meetings increasing throughout these unusual times, group discussions help disseminate knowledge through shared experience and pragmatic dialogue; as well as checking in that we are each OK. To quote Randolph Bourne: 'A good discussion increases the dimensions of everyone who takes part.'

With over 30 years in the private, public and academic sectors, Jacqueline combines academic endeavours with practice. She has covering strategy development through to operational delivery, compliance and regulation, seeking to apply her learnings in each organisation she’s worked in or on, across volunteering, academia and Board roles. In combining academia with depth of practical application, Jacqueline has drawn on her various qualifications to enhance her experience and improve her business document and report writing to Board level and publishing.

Jacqueline is currently completing her Doctorate of Business Administration based on an action learning approach as part of her ongoing scholar-practitioner learning. She has published in peer-reviewed journals, presented conference papers, and provided peer reviews for both; along with being a co-chair for the strategy track of the Strategy Special Interest Group at the British Academy of Management. Jacqueline is currently combining her strategy to operations delivery consulting with teaching undergraduate and masters subjects at various universities, as well as recently developing and delivering a case-study masters level subject.

  • How it works

Weekly group sessions are hosted by mentors, coaches, and club moderators. There are both, for-free and for-fee sessions. The latter are identified with a pro icon

  • How do free group sessions work?

To attend free group sessions all that you need to do is to register for the session to receive the session link. For club sessions you may need to join the club (for free) before you can join in the specific sessions.

  • How do the Pro and Pro-light memberships work?

There will be times in your doctoral journey when you will need tighter support to accomplish a specific goal or milestone, such as putting together your thesis proposal or submitting a paper to a conference or journal. This is where our Pro and Pro-light club journeys come in that provide you with weekly written feedback and weekly group sessions. Learn more about our Club PRO and Pro-light memberships.

  • How do I find a mentor?

Our doctoral supervisors and Professors also can provide you with close one-on-one mentoring. To learn more about mentoring please take a look here.

Each Saturday, one of our mentors hosts a free, open-door session with no pre-determined agenda after the weekly webinar. The event is free to attend, but registration is required. Search and join the 'Professor is in' session from the list.

In addition, mentors might attend the weekly club sessions. The participant list shows which mentor will be there for that session.
