Overview
You've laid the foundation by defining the scope and boundaries of your research, including a detailed research plan, and you're finally approaching the stage of actually collecting data, and potentially expanding the knowledge base.

This is a big step, and there are a lot of things to think about or issues to work out as you go. While flexibility and dynamic developments are inherent parts of the doctoral journey, they are often most visible during the data collection and analysis phase.

This club aims to provide you with checks and balances so you do not become caught up and drawn into your data.

Club Objectives

The goal of this club is to assist you in understanding and practicing the various steps involved in data collection and analysis. As a result, you should be able to achieve the following learning outcomes:

1. Practice putting your research plan into action.

2. Realise the need for a research Plan B as a backup in case the initial plan fails to materialise.

3. Discover the various qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques and approaches.

4. Practice writing your initial analysis chapter that discusses how the data compares to the literature.

5. Practice working on your conclusions.
