Jennifer Vidrine began her career with State Farm Insurance over 30 years ago. She held positions in Idaho, Oregon, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Illinois, and Texas. Her experience includes claims handling, national catastrophe team, learning and development, project management, marketing, and agency leadership. She is currently an independent contractor and owner of the Vidrine State Farm Insurance Agency in Ennis, Texas.
Jennifer began working in academia at HBCU in 2006, where she taught small business management and social entrepreneurship classes. Her ‘Thinking Lab’ was the most popular elective offered at the college in Fall 2021. She designed the curriculum for their first executive MBA, which used the action learning framework. She became an associate professor and lead faculty in 2021 before becoming interim VP of Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer in 2023. She is currently a professor at Collin College.
Dr. Vidrine's unique combination of academic and business expertise allows her to offer a comprehensive and holistic approach to her work. She merges her academic knowledge with her practical experience in insurance, enabling her to provide well-rounded and informed perspectives.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Boise State University in Idaho, a Master of Science degree from Tarleton State University in Texas, and a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Liverpool.
She is a wife, mother, and grandmother who currently lives in Texas with her husband and too many dogs.
