Abderrahim Benlahcene is an international lecturer at School of Education in Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). He attained his PhD’s degree in educational psychology at UUM. His study focused on investigating the impact of motivation on students’ personal goals and engagement in higher education. He is an enthusiastic and adaptive person with a broad and acute interest in the study of students’ goals development for motivation, learning and engagement. He has a great passion for working within educational settings; innovative, independent, and has a strong belief in the crucial role of education in instilling the right values into the character of people and society. He is also proficient in the various quantitative analysis approaches and has solid knowledge in exploring and scrutinizing teaching and learning issues. He was also participating actively and enthusiastically in the reviewing process for various journals as recorded in Publon account (https://publons.com/researcher/1548158/abderrahim-benlahcene/peer-review/)
