About

The aim/objective of the residency was to provide constructive criticism on all aspects of student's thesis project; e.g. research questions, theoretical foundations, the methodologies used, analyses, how results are presented or the implications derived and help the reflection on further areas of research.

The structure and format of the residency was geared more towards discussions; but a mix of a number of specific presentations to spearhead all discussions was used as well.

The residency was led by Doctoral Tutors engaged through the Doctorate Hub.

Please also be welcome to read this blog post that provides a brief summary of the residency.

Key Take-Aways

The agenda covered five days of structuring the DBA thesis, with students presenting their intended thesis and current status of progress with group feedback, expectations of the thesis, group exercises around thesis projects, action research, analytical software, data analysis and findings, how to present these in the thesis, and one-on-one discussions with the Doctoral Tutors.
